Care to explain the flag to us ignorant souls (or is it just me…)

Certainly, sir! That is the flag of Ulster (Northern Ireland) which is, of course, Protestant. My great-grandaddy was from Ulster, so being the good 1) Protestant and 2) Ulsterman I am, I had to ‘be orange’ during the Roman holiday. 🙂
