If It Keeps On Raining, Levee’s Going to Break

Unless the LORD builds the house, those who build it labor in vain.’  ~ Psalm 127:1a

‘…[H]e is like a man building a house, who dug deep and laid the foundation on the rock. And when a flood arose, the stream broke against that house and could not shake it, because it had been well built.’ ~ Luke 6:48

  • The Official Chicken Coop Watch begins in earnest this afternoon.  Due in no small part to my painfully obvious dearth of carpentry skills coupled with (in case you weren’t aware) the frightenly large ‘weather event’ barrelling towards us from the Gulf of Mexico, the large (24 x 24 x 7) chicken house/ run I completed Wednesday–after three months of frustrated effort–may find itself in a different place from where I placed it.  Stay tuned.

If it keeps on raining, levee’s going to break.

If it keeps on raining, levee’s going to break.

When the levee breaks I’ll have no place to stay.  ~ Led Zeppelin, When the Levee Breaks

  2. Michael and I were just discussing your chickens this morning, wondering what would happen during this storm. I can’t believe you just finished Wednesday and now this, bummer! Well, let us know what happens to the cluckers. 🙂

  3. Just imagine if it was that piece of junk structure that you nearly had at your house…if you can call 1.5 miles out of 40 close…
