I’m Not Really Angry–It Just Seems That Way

‘But I will defend my house against marauding forces. Never again will an oppressor overrun my people, for now I am keeping watch.’  ~ Zechariah 9:8

  • Remember when we bombed Kosovo to thwart the ‘genocide’ of Mohammadans by those evil Serbians? Well, surprise, it never happened.
  • More with Peter Schiff on the economy and the falling Dollar:

  • ‘[Federal Reserve Chairman Ben] Bernanke faces the same dilemma, and like Herr Havenstein, he thinks he can save the economy by creating more currency.  Instead, the outcome will be hyperinflation, which not only destroys the currency but also the very economy he set out to save. ‘
  • Second Commandment Watch: Why do they always assert it is an image of Jesus? Having never seen Him face-to-face, how would they know?
  • Dr Tom Woods talks about the growing sentiment in favour of nullification:

The Crusades were not unprovoked. They were not the first round of European colonialism. They were not conducted for land, loot, or converts. The Crusaders were not barbarians who victimized the cultivated Muslims. They sincerely believed that they served in God’s battalions.’

Remember all that ‘freedom’ everybody was singing about a couple of weeks ago? ‘New federal regulations issued this week stipulate that the electronic health records–that all Americans are supposed to have by 2014 under the terms of the stimulus law that President Barack Obama signed last year–must record not only the traditional measures of height and weight, but also the Body Mass Index: a measure of obesity.’

  • They’re still trying to gin up war for Israel with Iran.
  • I know you’re not comfortable with the word “empire,” especially just after the Fourth of July, but you are the Redcoats now.’
  • I know you, little libertine:

Plugging those kinds of gaps means getting creative with new forms of skullduggery. For instance, the State of New York, with its $9 billion budget deficit, is looking at a proposal to borrow $6 billion from its state pension fund in order to make a $6 billion payment due to that same pension fund. Yeah, you read that right.’

  • In a comical move even for a czar-happy president who has rewarded dozens of cronies with distinguished titles, the White House has named the Obamas’ personal Chicago cook as ‘Senior Policy Adviser for Healthy Food Initiatives.’
  • Oh, the Glorous Drug War!! How many people must die before we admit that it is a fool’s errand?
  • It is a competition between ‘entitlement’ spending and military expenditures to determine which will bankrupt us first.

‘You shall dwell with us, and the land shall be open to you. Dwell and trade in it, and get property in it.’  ~ Genesis 34:10

  • Apparently, these folks have never read Isaiah 53.  (Oh, the wisdom of men…)  A METRE-HIGH tablet with 87 lines of Hebrew that scholars believe dates from the decades just before the birth of Jesus is causing a stir in biblical and archaeological circles because it may speak of a messiah who will rise from the dead after three days.  If such a messianic description really is there, it will contribute to a developing re-evaluation of both popular and scholarly views of Jesus, because it suggests the story of his death and resurrection was not unique but part of a recognised Jewish tradition at the time.’  (Really?!!  Next you’re going to tell me that the New Testament isn’t the first time Jesus was spoken about!)

  • In the Land of the Free Report: Save your home from being destroyed by fire—and go to jail.

  • Ron Paul has been beating this drum for years but folks just didn’t want to hear it.  Now, they act as if it is newly discovered information: ‘The almighty U.S. dollar is mighty no more. It has been declining steadily for six years against other major currencies, undercutting its role as the leading international banking currency. The long slide is fanning inflation in the U.S. and playing a major role in the run-up of oil and gasoline prices everywhere.’

  • ‘In fact, not too long ago one family actually decided to flee Germany to Iran to home school their children, if you can believe a family fleeing Germany to Iran for freedom.’

  • The War kills at home, too: ‘His internal terror got so bad that, in 2005, he shot up his El Paso, Texas, apartment and held police at bay for three hours with a 9-mm handgun, believing Iraqis were trying to get in.  Last month, on June 28, police in Pinehurst, N.C., who responded to Dwyer’s home, said the 31-year-old collapsed and died after abusing a computer cleaner aerosol. Dwyer had moved to North Carolina after living in Texas.’

  • ‘Put another way, if [Federal Reserve Chairman] Ben Bernanke thinks he has a problem now with crashing home prices, wait and see how scared he gets when commercial real estate blows apart. How likely is this? My colleagues and I think it’s pretty much a done deal. It’s not a matter of if, it’s a matter of when.’  ~ Addison Wiggin

  • ‘It turns out that much of what we think we know about one of the most studied episodes in modern history is either inaccurate or incomplete. Even more alarming, much of what Kennedy thought he knew about Soviet actions and motivations rested on flawed intelligence reports.’
