‘And I did so in Jerusalem. I not only locked up many of the saints in prison after receiving authority from the chief priests, but when they were put to death I cast my vote against them.’ ~ Acts 26:10

Here are some folks who understand the importance of gold:

  • Property rights were eradicated in the name of the Civil Rights (sic) crusade. Therefore, folks should not be surprised to discover that a woman is being brought up on civil rights violations for requesting a Christian roommate—in her own home.  [Update: The charges were later dropped.]
  • Sadly, I found out the hard way that this phone hasn’t been invented yet.
  • Coconut oil is exceptionally helpful for pregnant women, nursing moms, the elderly, those concerned about digestive health, athletes (even weekend warriors), and those of you who just want to enhance your overall health.’
  • So, you have a rat and you have a land mine.  What to do?
  • The truth is that the US is insolvent and its policymakers will stop at nothing in order to avoid sovereign default. So, it should come as no surprise that at its latest meeting, the Federal Reserve downplayed the risk of inflation, thereby setting the stage for another round of money creation.’
  • In the waters off Tybee Island, Georgia, right at the Georgia/South Carolina border and not far from Savannah, buried in about 10 feet of silt is a hydrogen bomb. It’s been there for more than 50 years. . . The sad lesson is that we have less to fear from naked aggression than we do from incompetence and bad engineering.’
  • It wasn’t the New Deal that made folks fond of FDR—it was his push to repeal the 21st Amendment.

Industry Booms as States Vote Repeal of Prohibition’

  • The national security police state has been advancing for years but now that the true takeover of American society is in full swing, Americans are finally beginning to understand that everything supposedly aimed at terrorists is in fact directed towards them.’
  • Rising food prices and shortages could cause instability in many countries as the cost of staple foods and vegetables reached their highest levels in two years, with scientists predicting further widespread droughts and floods.’
  • The economic whizzing contests regarding currency devaluations currently underway (actually, they’ve been underway for quite some time) would be a thing of the past if countries simply backed their currencies with gold. That would mean that they would be forced to live within their means.

The economic storm is gathering.

  • A proper understanding of God’s Providence precludes any serious contemplation of ‘What If’ history, of course (Ephesians 1:11); however, it is sometimes an interesting exercise to imagine how one incident might have affected—and saved—millions of lives, had it occurred differently.
  • We’re the people that live. They can’t wipe us out, they can’t lick us. We’ll go on forever, Pa, cos we’re the people.’
  • Decades from now, I fully expect to see an epidemic of deafness due to the amazing volumes at which folks listen to music. Likewise, we may not be surprised to find an alarming rise in the rate of brain cancer due to cell phones.

‘But this people has a stubborn and rebellious heart; they have turned aside and gone away.’  ~ Jeremiah 5:23

  • I am a bit confused. We (the taxpayers, anyway) are forced to bail out Wall Street and the banksters who made ill-advised and irresponsible loans to folks who could not afford them—at the government’s insistence, no less—yet the credit card companies are being forbidden to voluntarily forgive a portion of their debtors’ balances in efforts to prevent further losses? We truly have entered Bizzaro World.

  • A conservative Christian activist says it’s a sad omen for the Obama administration and the United States that Barack Obama has been seeking guidance from the Episcopal Church’s first openly homosexual bishop.

  • (Sarcasm Alert.)  Isn’t it great that the pro-homosexual activists are so full of love, tolerance, and understanding?: ‘On Sunday morning, amidst worshiping congregants and following unifying prayers that our President-elect be granted wisdom as he prepares to lead our nation through difficult global, social and economic challenges, the Michigan left declared open war on peaceful church goers. They did it with banners, chants, blasphemy, by storming the pulpit, by vandalizing the church facility, by potentially defiling the building with lewd, public, sex acts and by intentionally forcing physical confrontations with worshipers.’

  • If the economy is truly slowing down (as I believe it is), someone needs to let Hank Steinbrenner know about it–quickly.  The New York Yankees have offered pitcher C. C. Sabathia a contract reportedly worth $140 MILLION!!  (If I were Sabathia, I would demand payment in gold…or Euros.)

  •  ‘Through war and recession, Americans have turned to the glistening canned product from Hormel as a way to save money while still putting somethign that resembles meat on the table.  Now, in a sign of the times, it is happening again, and Hormel is cranking out as much Spam as its workers can produce.’

  • ‘”God has vindicated the black folk,” the Rev. [sic] Shirley Caesar-Williams said as a member of her Raleigh congregation, Mount Calvary Word of Faith Church, brandished a flag and another marched among the pews blowing a ram’s horn.’

  • It was decades later that the truth came out that the Soviets invaded [Afghanistan in 1979] only after being deliberately provoked by U.S. hawks [emphasis added]. One of them was Robert Gates, who worked for [Zbigniew] Brzezinski in the Carter administration and who is currently the Secretary of Defense, now being considered by President-elect Obama to retain that position. A 1996 press release promoting Gates’ memoir promised the revelation of “Carter’s never-before-revealed covert support to Afghan mujahedeen – six months before the Soviets invaded.  The Gates revelation prompted an interviewer for the French publication, Le Nouvel Observateur, to ask Brzezinski in a 1998 interview whether he regretted “having given arms and advice to future terrorists,” and Brzezinski replied: “Regret what? That secret operation was an excellent idea. It had the effect of drawing the Russians into the Afghan trap and you want me to regret it? …. What is most important to the history of the world? … Some stirred up Muslims or the liberation of Central Europe and the end of the Cold War?”’

Oh, good heavens!  Let’s hope not!!

We, the people of the United States, in order to form a more perfect union, establish social justice, draw the fangs of privilege, effect the redistribution of property, remove the burden of liberty from ourselves and our posterity, and insure the continuance of the New Deal, do ordain and establish this Constitution.   ~ H. L. Mencken, ‘Constitution for the New Deal’

  • It what can only be described as absurd: ‘President George W. Bush today will urge leaders of the world’s biggest industrial and developing economies not to abandon principles of free-market capitalism as they seek an escape from the international financial crisis, calling it the “best system” for delivering growth.’  (Such as doing what—government taking ownership of banks and bailing out private institutions with taxpayer money?!)

If this is ‘nuetrality’, I would hate to see her acting as a partisan!  (Good ol’ guv’mint schools!)

  • ‘[Obama] even openly mocked the Bible, yet nearly every black American Christian voted for him anyway.  Hence, black Christians proved their allegiance is not to Christ first, but to the color of their skin.  And for this, they need to repent. … Meanwhile, white Christians lined up behind Sarah Palin–a woman–for high public office.  They ridiculed those who invoked Scripture to point out this was unbiblical.  It would have been one thing if the Christians supporting her simply admitted they knew it was unbiblical and contrary to Scripture for her to be in office, but the threat of an Obama presidency was so awful they felt compelled to vote for her anyway.  But that wasn’t the case.  They actually wanted to change 2000 years of biblical interpretation and declare that it was biblically right for her to be in public office.’  ~ Pastor Matt Trewhella, Mercy Seat Christian Church
